Mike, aka “Zim”, is a third-generation Air Filtration executive with more than 40 years of experience in the industry. After helping his family lead the distribution business including acquiring Nevada Cooler Pad in the late 80’s to bolt on to Air Filters Sales & Service, Mike decided in 1990 to pursue his entrepreneurial roots by founding Purafilter 2000. P-2000 was one of the first retail packaged air filters to be sold retail, entering the market at a similar time as 3M.

Mike then created a market-exclusive DSD model which still stands today.  Mike exited after building the company to $32M in sales and serving 8K retail locations in 2010.

His vision now with the Zephyr Group encompasses all of the different facets he has learned throughout his career, which has developed into this market-exclusive model.

Mike is a native of Las Vegas and he and his wife Patty of 30 years have two children together. They are proud to still call Las Vegas their home.  Both Mike and Patty attended the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV) and other than his family, and business as his primary focuses, he considers UNLV sports as one if his strongest passions.
